The manifest, UP's MGRNY originated in Green River, WY and is headed for North Yard. The military train is going to have to run south through North Yard as well, so I am not sure why the military train is being run around. Not just the SD70M, but specifically the Phase 2 SD70M. It has the slightly slanted radiator intakes, similar to the SD45, but not quite as large as the SD70ACe. It seems that AC4400CWs are making a bit of a come back. On this particularly afternoon, I saw far more of those than any ES44s. A trio leads this manifest as it heads out of Denver. Rolla is a yard just north of Denver that serves as UP's main auto facility for the Denver area. It is appropriately named as there is a lot of commerce that that happens here. Just north of Sand Creek Junction, you can see many yard tracks and multiple businesses with customers in need of cars. The train is approaching the Stock Yards control point. The track at the bottom of the screen runs south and serves many customers in the area. In the background stands Xcel Energy's Cherokee Generating Station. It was powered by coal for decades, but for the several years now it is powered by natural gas.
