Interestingly, the Zephyr has eight Superliners this morning! There is a third coach on the train. For many years before COVID, this was the standard on the Zephyr. Since COVID, it dropped to seven. Is this a one time thing, or a sign that demand has picked up and Amtrak is adding supply to accommodate? Time will tell... I was happy to find AMTK 37 leading the westbound Zephyr just west of Eisele (Clay) as it is one of the ones that I had not yet seen/shot! This is the first time in well over a year that I've seen eight Superliners on the Zephyr. Hope it becomes a regular thing!
