This same train has a Canadian National and CSX unit on the head end, making for a very colorful train overall. On this particular day, I saw the following railroads represented: Amtrak, Union Pacific, BNSF, Kansas City Southern, Ferromex, Canadian National, CSX, and Canadian Pacific! CP 7020 is an SD70ACu, and in fact started life as an SD90MAC! Progress Rail rebuilt 60 of them for Canadian Pacific (and 100 for UP SD9043MACs for Norfolk Southern). The unit was unveiled just over four years ago in tribute to the military. The ribbon has a clever design that represents both Canada and the United States. The units were unveiled on Remembrance Day (Canada's version of Veterans Day in the US). The train is tied down here on the siding in "Hogan's Alley", awaiting for a recrew. The grain train originated in Sweetwater, MT and is destined for Modesto, CA.
