It was renamed the Kansas and served many years on the Ski Train as one of the private cars (along with the Utah and California). Now, it has been rebranded for the "American Railway Explorer". This is a new service that will be based out of Los Angeles for trips up and down the coast. This may well be the last time the car is on former DRGW trackage! One last nail in the Ski Train coffin.
