UP found some very nice power for the "Blue Train" for its trip from Salt Lake City (where the show closed two days earlier) to Denver (where the show opens the in two days). It is by far the most efficient way to move such a large operation. The circus actually has two shows running somewhere in the United States at any one time. As a result, the circus actually has two complete train sets. One is referred to as the "Red Train" and one is referred to as the "Blue Train". This is the Blue Train, and an example coach car on it. The circus train is the longest private passenger train in the United States, coming in at 60 cars! It is over half a mile long. The train is curving from the south to the east as it heads toward Big Ten Curve. Shortly, the train will be on the lower track (moving from left to right), on the approach to Rocky. All of the performers and animals, as well as all of the equipment (sound, lighting, gear, etc) travels by train from city to city. Earlier in the year, the Red Train ran west over the Moffat on its way from Colorado Springs, CO to Las Vegas, NV. Now, at the end of September, the Blue Train heads in to Denver, getting ready for patrons to come and enjoy the greatest show on Earth.
