But, instead of heading straight into North Yard, the train came across Bypass 2 and will wait for its counterpart, the MNYGR, to depart before backing into the yard. This is a scene that is radically different from what you wouldn't seen a decade earlier. At that time, I-70 passes over UP's tracks here on a stretch of bridge called the elevated deck. A massive project created a trench and I-70 is now below (normal) ground level. The tracks, of course, are at the same elevate they have always been at.
