It came out of the General Electric shops in Erie, PA in October 2007. The unit is on tap to run as the power on the MDVSI-02 later in the evening. The train is moving at restricted speed as it is following a coal empty into the yard using a box 4 and a box 11 on its track warrant. The local is passing the switching yard at Monaco Street. The newer units have isolated cabs similar to the SD70MAC's from ten year ago. I have heard some crew members say that the cabs of the non-isolated SD70ACe's can be louder than SD40-2's! The units cut away from their train (the HPASSAG) at Broomfield to help pull the Valmont train over Westminster Hill. Today, the units still wear (most of) their original paint. A few EMD logos have been added (as BN returned them to EMD).
