The City of Arvada attempted to get a Federal Grant to rebuild this bridge in order to widen Indiana Street to four lanes through there. However, the grant was denied, so Indiana remains two lanes. Meanwhile, additional homes and a new strip mall are being built int he background, which will of course add more traffic to Indiana! The eastbound Zephyr is about to knock down a clear signal at the west end of Leyden, crossing over Indiana Street. After getting rid of the MNYRO and MRONY in December 2018, UP started running the MNYGJ and MGJNY, each three times a week. Typically, the MNYGJ departs after dark on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights. However, there were no rested crews in Denver last night! The first crew was rested at 12:15pm today, and the train was then called. Here, the manifest crosses Indiana Street coming out of the west end of Leyden. However, CN still identifies the former IC units on its roster. This C40-8W is one of only 42 such units Illinois Central had. Although it now wears standard Canadian National colors, a small "IC" is painted on the cab, indicating the heritage of the unit.
