On this particular day, the inbound Beer Run was comprised entirely of loaded coal hoppers. This is the first time I can specifically remember seeing an SD60 on the Golden Sub. On May 17, 2006, BNSF 8814 was the lead unit on the C-ATMSUD0-93 15 miles east of Alliance, NE. The train was moving along at 38 MPH when it rear ended a train that was stopped ahead of it. BNSF's so-called "Vomit Bonnet" was a test paint scheme applied only to BNSF 9647 shortly after the merger. This was a test paint scheme that mixed the colors from BN's "green and cream" scheme along with the pattern of Santa Fe's Warbonnet scheme. After making a station stop at Union Station, the train used the passenger lead and was tied down here, near the house at 38th street. The train is only two cars long, and led by a single SD40-2.
