The second unit is a (fairly new) ET44C4. The third and fourth units are CREX ES44ACs. BNSF leased a lot of these CREX units back in 2015 as there was a boom in traffic and a shortage of power. A westbound Denver-Provo is making its way west through the gulch here, running on clear signals. The crew that brought that train in last night stayed the night in a hotel and is now taking this Denver-Provo back west today. And, even less common is two KCS units! But two just happened to be added as DPUs on the tail end of this Provo-Lincoln as it heads east out of Leyden. It had a pair of Kansas City Southern Belle's for power! Turns out that power was added as DPUs to the Provo-Lincoln yesterday! The BNSF manifests that run on the Moffat are almost entirely dominated by tank cars. Most of their trackage rights trains are probably 70%+ tank cars these days. A westbound Denver-Provo waits in the siding as an eastbound Provo-Lincoln rolls down the main. If that plant goes belly up, it'll likely spell the end of the West Local. As it is, the train only runs on Wednesdays...and not every Wednesday!
