An SD40-2 and an Oakway SD60 cut away from the tail end of a southbound coal load. A single SD70MAC will remain on the end, controlled through DPU, on the remainer of the trip south. The other two units will proceed north on main two to Denver.

Up until their retirement in 1999, Union Pacific would often used GP30's 3006 and 3003 as the power on the South Local and Rocky Local. Here, the South Local approaches Kalamath street in Denver headed south on the Joint Line.
