BNSF's yard has requested that, instead of running down to Prospect Jct on UP's main, the train will instead cross over at Utah Junction from UP's main to the BNSF main. UP's dispatcher is waiting to hear from the BNSF yard master as to whether or not they can take the train. If the wait will be too long, the train can be lined in to the siding at Rocky. Nearly 50 years after its original build date, BNSF 1660 is still in service and working daily. Running a local may not be as prestigious as train it once ran, but it is great so many of this classic EMD units are still on the rails.
