As you can probably infer from the pictures, I-25 is an extremely busy freeway. Indeed, it is the busiest freeway in the state of Colorado, with congestion throughout the Denver Metro area a regular fixture to the freeway on a daily basis. The green scheme, with the Mt Rainier stamps, looks very nice. Here, the train set is back toward BNSF's 31st Yard so it can depart south on the Joint Line. Not the Cascades livery, but CDOT is looking to try to start train service between Denver and Granby on the Moffat. I wonder if CDOT might look at a Siemens train set like this for their trains. It is leading a passenger train that is supposedly going to sit here in the North Yard storage yard for a few days before departing. Departing where...unknown at the time of this picture!
