The westbound Zephyr is running a few minutes behind schedule this morning as it climbs toward the east switch of Plain from Tunnel 1. Starting tomorrow, the westbound Zephyr will be running on a two hour delayed schedule west of Denver due to some Union Pacific MOW windows.

An eastbound BNSF Provo-Denver rolls east toward a clear signal at the east end of the siding at Plain. The relatively short manifest met the Zephyr here at Plain just minutes ago. Leading the train is one of the earlier C44-9Ws, still in its Heritage 2 scheme.

As AC units have become more and more prevalent in the 21st century, it is less and less common to find solid sets of DC units on manifests. However, a C44-9W and an ES44DC lead the Provo-Denver east out of the siding at Plain on this morning.

A short Maintenance of Way train is stopped on the siding at Rocky, waiting for an eastbound BNSF Provo-Denver which is currently making its way east on the main at Eisele (Clay) in the background.

A single unit leads a work train consisting of gondolas sits in the siding at Rocky, waiting on BNSF's Provo-Denver to show up. Once meeting the manifest, the work train here will proceed up and in to the siding at Eisele (Clay). The gondolas will be tied down there and the unit will return light back to North Yard.

A UP Officer's Special sits on one of the tracks in the Storage Yard at the north end of North Yard. The train made the trip here from North Platte, NE today. It will sit in the yard overnight. A crew will be called at 8:00am tomorrow morning and the train is set to depart west for Helper, UT at 9:30am.
