However, there are still some Warbonnets out there whose paint is darn near perfect. Case-in-point is BNSF 786, leading the Provo-Denver during the first full week of March 2018. How great would it be if BNSF decided to do another round of Warbonnet units? While that is unlikely to happen, at least it is still possible to catch an occasional Warbonnet such as on this day as one leads the Provo-Denver. This is one of 100 ES44C4s that have been delivered since Tier-4 units became required. It is a "Tier-4 Credit unit", which is why it is the 4200 number range. The train is facing a red signal at the east switch as another westbound (the BNSF Denver-Provo) is coming west out of town. The train is meeting a Provo-Lincoln that is out of Rocky. The sand train is holding the main, even after arriving first, because the manifest will be meeting two trains here at Leyden. It is more designed for fast trains in relatively flat terrains. Looks like the power desk in Denver may have agreed today as two ES44ACs and an SD70ACe lead this loaded sand train west at Leyden. The train had an ET44C4 on the head end as well, although this is one of the very early versions of the ET44C4. You can tell as the second of long hood just ahead of the radiator housing is very boxy. In later versions of the model, that housing that sticks up is contoured to look a bit more natural with the rest of the radiator.
