The cab almost has an Alco look to it, which is one of the things that identifies the unit as a GP10 and not a low-nose GP7 or GP9. Not too often on the Front Range Sub that you can get a shot of two coal trains meeting each other! Now granted, the train on the siding to the right has no power as the hoppers are loaded and waiting to head to Valmont. Close enough to a meet though. A BNSF coal empty being rerouted from the Brush Subdivision creeps into Boulder at 10 MPH. The train had three units (2x1), but even so, I think it was quite a pull coming up into Boulder. You just know that people moving into this new development will be complaining about those darn trains soon. The train encountered a bit of a delay at Broomfield. First, the train had to cut the Nickel Street crossing, then it had to wait for two southbounds, then it had to put its train back together, and finally, it had to contact mechanical to solve an alarm issue on its DPU!
