The hydrotreater weighs 570 metric tons and is 115 feet long. It is also a bit wider than the average load, which is why signals and switch stands had to be (temporarily) removed at points along BNSF during the move. The hydrotreater being moved to Commerce City, CO came from Italy. It was said that the total cost of transportation (ship and rail combined) exceeded $3 million! Two new tracks run from C&S Junction to Broadway north of North Yard. To avoid a diamon at grade level with the BNSF Front Range Sub, the Front Range Sub was lowered and the new flyover runs over the BNSF main. The train runs from Bonneville, WY to Galveston, TX using the symbol G-BNVGAT. The last day before the start of daylight savings time saw the G-BNVGAT-31 heading south through the S-curve near Burns Jct and the siding of Broomfield.
