I actually shot this exact same consist two days ago when it was heading west toward Provo on the Denver-Provo. It had a quick turn around time in Provo! Within 90 minutes or so, the train will reach Grand Junction for a crew change and some switching of cars before continuing on toward Provo. Other than taking the siding to meet Amtrak at Allen (near the east end of Glenwood Canyon), the train has not had to stop since leaving Denver! Indeed, the Zephyr is the only train it has even met. And it will prove to be the only train is meets on the entire journey from Denver to Grand Junction. Glenwood actually has two siding. The track to the right is the East Siding and the track to the left is the West Siding. The mainline runs down the middle between the two. However, every once in awhile, you'll see something less common, such as these track bins riding in well cars past the intermediate signal at MP 16.1 in Barbara's Gulch. The train is running in and out of the siding at Rocky due to maintenance on the main. Closer to the top of the frame, you can see some of the hundreds of new houses that have been built in the northwest Arvada neighborhood of Candelas. The trains actually met at Arvada. Immediately thereafter, the Denver-Provo got a signal to head westbound. Here, the train is entering the east end of Barbara's Gulch east of Rocky.
