DRGW 5401 has been stored on Coors property for the past eight years, waiting for the Colorado Railroad Museum to work out a space for it. These units are often referred to as "Goat Boats". The "Goat" reference comes from the fact that this paint scheme is very close to Great Northern's paint scheme, and the logo for Great Northern included a goat. The "Boat" reference comes from the fact that GE unit were once referred to as "U-Boats" as they had a "U" designation in their models in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. The train, led by BNSF 8001, will meet an eastbound BNSF manifest here in the siding. BNSF 8001 is an ES44C4, which were primarily designed for fast trains over (relatively) flat routes.
