At Terrell Junction on the BNSF Golden Sub, BNSF's afternoon "Beer Run" has nearly completed the 12-ish mile trip from the 31st Street Yard out to Coors Lower Yard in Golden. Here at Terrell Junction, the diverging route goes to the lower yard, while the non-diverging route goes to the upper yard. The conductors just threw the switch and is walking back to check sometime further back on the train.

For the first time ever, I finally made it down to Radium for a shot of a westbound oil empty meeting and eastbound BNSF Provo-Denver. I've never gone all the way to Radium before because it is a little bit out of the way from the main road that connects Kremmling to Bond. It is a 6-8 minute drive in and out of Radium, and typically I bypass it as I do not want to fall behind whatever train I might be chasing. However, with the light rapidly fading, it seemed like the perfect time for a few shots. Well worth it, too, as Radium is quite scenic.

At the crossover at Center Bond, also known as Orestod, two ES44ACs bring up the tail end of a westbound Denver-Provo manifest. It is here at Orestod, which, incidentally, is Dotsero spelled backward, the Craig Branch leaving the mainline. 100 years ago, the Craig Branch was the mainline! It wasn't until the Dotsero Cutoff was built that everything changed, creating a direct route west through the Rockies between Denver and Salt Lake City.
